The Kids is a collection of sonnets written by Hannah Lowe and published by Bloodaxe Books. It splits into 3 parts, the first being the perspective of Hannah Lowe’s experiences of teaching, then the second Hannah Lowe’s experiences of school as a child and the third are poems written about parenting and her son. I could read The Kids over and over and not tire of it. It is playful and witty. It did not feel as if I was reading poetry at all.
