Book Review. A Pocket Full of Rye by Agatha Christie.

‘It’s very simple, really,’ said Miss Marple, but A Pocket Full of Rye is anything but. Just when you think you have it worked out; it turns out that you have not. The twists and turns in this story! And what a sad ending too, for Gladys Martin, one of the characters employed as a servant, described as ‘pathetically stupid’ and then is murdered, found dead with ‘a clothes peg clipped on her nose.’ Miss Marple actually displays emotion too, at Gladys Martin’s death, as she was one of her own ex servants.
