And what a sad ending too, for Gladys Martin, one of the characters employed as a servant, described as ‘pathetically stupid’ and then is murdered, found dead with ‘a clothes peg clipped on her nose.’ Miss Marple actually displays emotion too, at Gladys Martin’s death, as she was one of her own ex servants.
