Book Review. Sky Ray Lolly by Fiona Pitt-Kethley.

I think my first thought on Sky Ray Lolly was this is filthy and then I thought how it still seems odd to me to read poetry from women about sex, with references to willies, dildos and orgasms ‘with men who dutifully ask you if you’ve come (why can’t they tell?)’ I liked the poems about a singular object ‘I’ve always had a horror of the splits. I could just see myself like some old peg, a scissors that has lost its middle screw,’ The poems in Sky Ray Lolly are witty, and sharp. It was easy to read and enjoy the poems, as well as be able to relate to them.
