The Resurrection Casket by Justin Richards
I am reading Doctor Who Story The Resurrection Casket by Justin Richards. Justin Richards does tend to write the lighter, aimed at younger readers Doctor Who books. The Resurrection Casket is basically space pirates and treasure hunting. It’s plodding along so far. I have been re/reading the BBC main range of Doctor Who books featuring David Tennant’s Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose Tyler and I don’t feel as if any of these stories are capturing the 2 very well? Maybe it’s because it has been a while since I watched series two. Keeping the Doctor and Rose apart seems to be how the writers are handling their characters.
Script Doctor by Andrew Cartmel
Speaking of plodding, I have been gradually reading Script Doctor by Andrew Cartmel. This book contains the notes Cartmel made whilst making the Doctor Who television show in the 80’s. It feels very white male centric at the moment and it is putting me off making much progress with this book.
Poirot’s Early Cases
I finished reading The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie. I did suspect whodunnit but I wasn’t expecting the rest. Because it felt like a send up, I couldn’t take this one seriously. I started my next Agatha Christie, Poirot’s Early Cases. I’m not a Poirot fan. The couple of stories in this collection that I have read so far were not that inspiring.
Bunny Girls by Angela Readman
Poetry I am reading is Bunny Girls by Angela Readman. I saw someone posted a poem from the book on Twitter and I instantly knew I had to find a copy to read.
